What better way to spoil your mom this holiday then with a little pampering?! This is PERFECT for when you want to take your mom away, but don’t have the time to travel.
When we were younger, my mother used to take us to beautiful hotels in Atlanta for the weekend. A staycation was amazing as a kid! I got to order room service (my mom would bend healthy eating rules), play in the pool, and pretend to be a grown up at the spa! And to be honest… these are still ALL the reasons I love a staycation!
Treat your mother with the one thing she will enjoy more than anything… time with you! Your mother is the best friend you will ever have. No one will love you more, no one knows you better. Have fun together and cherish your seclusion! Here are some bonding questions you should ask your mother, before its too late:
- What’s one thing you wish you did before you had kids?
- What question do you wish you could/should ask your mom?
- If you had all the money to do one thing, what would you do?
- What is one goal you wish to achieve in the next 5 years?
- What’s the hardest thing about being a mom? What’s the easiest?
- What do you miss most about being a kid?
My mother and I love to eat. It’s one of our favorite pastimes, haha. When you’re on a staycation, FORGET counting calories! Enjoy yourself by indulging in new decadent dishes you normally don’t eat, or simply gorge on your favorites!
We go to the spa at least a couple times a month. My mother taught me how to enjoy being a girl, and pamper myself! It is another great way we bond. There are no distractions like cell phones or other electronics. We simply relax and enjoy conversations while getting beautiful.
Happy Mother’s Day everyone! xoxo, Jessica
